On Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6–8 p.m. the City of Edmonds will host a free workshop for community members to learn how to create their own rain garden, the city said in a news release. The workshop will be held in the Edmonds Plaza Room at 650 Main Street, above the library.
A rain garden is a beautiful landscape feature that allows you to control drainage safely while also protecting our local creeks, lakes and Puget Sound from polluted runoff.
At the workshop you will learn how to design and install a rain garden in your yard that will filter pollution, potentially reduce flooding, add beauty and attract beneficial pollinators.
Registration for this free workshop is required and will be handled on a first come, first served basis so enroll early. Email Michael Cawrse at michael.cawrse@edmondswa.gov or call 425.771.0220. Please include your contact information in your email.
If you have questions about rain gardens you can contact Marilyn Jacobs at Marilyn@raindogdesigns.com.
